ANTONE SARDO
Antone Sardo began playing bass guitar at the age of twelve admiring the talents of fellow bassmen Paul McCartney, John Entwistle and John Paul Jones to name a few.
His style is very much the British approach, playing for the song, giving the music space yet filling in the gaps when necessary while the singer and guitarist do their thing.
In between bands, Antone placed a classified ad in the Recycler magazine in Los Angeles looking for a band or musicians and got a call from Michael Manchild. “When Michael called we seemed to have a lot in common. When we met there was an instant chemistry and he wasn't a loser like many Los Angeles musicians and he had a vision not to mention the fact that he doesn't suck on guitar and as a plus he is sick in the head, haha.”
Antone brings a happy vibe to the band as well as a few jokes along the way but it never undermines the solid rhythm bottom he lays down which is the nucleus of Sons Of Toil’s music. His passion is creating in the studio, but his true love is the stage where along side fellow band mates Michael Manchild and Zane Tatum come alive and the rock n roll spectacle the likes of which hasn't been seen since the glory days the mighty Zep graced the stage.
